Our History
Evolution Aqua is a multi-award-winning manufacturer based in Wigan, UK. Beginning over 20 years ago as a specialist Koi filtration company, Evolution Aqua has grown to become one of the most popular and respected aquatic brands in the world. We manufacture many leading brands and products in all areas of aquatics, including ornamental ponds, freshwater and marine aquariums, environmental, commercial fish systems, fish farms, swimming pools, public aquariums and more!

First installation of filtration media at MOWI site
Flocell supplied 850m3 of Bio Media used by state of the art RAS Hatchery in Scotland. MOWI salmon hatchery, at Inchmore, Glenmoriston.

Started the production of Open Cell Media
Set up two extrusion lines to produce our Open Cell Media for swimming pool and aquatic applications.

Set up of Aqua Bioscience Ltd
Unique biological solutions for the aquatics and aquaculture industries. Aqua Bioscience Ltd specialise in the production of bacterial products providing unique methods of filtration leading to improved water quality and health.

Manufactured range of UV's
Start the manufacture of UV light for the aquatic, swimming pool and commercial sectors.
2006
Purchased rotational moulding machine
Set up a new rotational moulding machine to start the production of high-performance filters for the Aquatic market.

License agreement with Veolia to use K1 Media in Aquatics
